Declaration and Inauguration of PERPLATSI Marks New Era for Rooftop Solar Industry in Indonesia
The official declaration and inauguration of the Indonesian Rooftop Solar PV Installers Association (Perkumpulan Pemasang PLTS Atap Seluruh Indonesia or PERPLATSI) marks a pivotal moment in the advancement of Indonesia’s renewable energy sector. The event took place on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the APINDO UKM Hub, located in the SMESCO Building of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Jakarta.
PERPLATSI was formed in response to the growing public demand for rooftop solar power systems (PLTS Atap). As awareness of clean energy solutions continues to rise across the country, this association aims to unite installers and industry players to strengthen the market, improve standards, and support government efforts toward a sustainable energy transition.
During the declaration, Fabby Tumiwa, Chairman of PERPLATSI’s Advisory Board, emphasized the significance of this momentum. “The rooftop solar market is bright and full of potential. This movement is unstoppable and opens major opportunities for businesses in the renewable energy industry,” he said.
PERPLATSI’s mission includes fostering collaboration among stakeholders, ensuring quality and safety in solar installations, and advocating for policies that accelerate solar adoption nationwide. With Indonesia’s ambitious clean energy targets, PERPLATSI positions itself as a key partner in achieving national energy resilience and sustainability goals.
The inauguration of PERPLATSI signals a strong commitment from the private sector to support Indonesia’s energy transition. It also lays the groundwork for empowering solar installers, boosting local green jobs, and making solar energy more accessible to households and businesses across the archipelago.
