On June 5, 2023, the “Promoting Solar Deployment in Indonesia” workshop was held as a collaborative initiative between the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) and the Indonesian Solar Energy Association (AESI). The event aimed to foster knowledge sharing and strengthen regional cooperation in accelerating solar energy adoption across Indonesia.

The workshop featured Yves Rumajar, the Vice Chairman of Perplatsi (Indonesian Rooftop Solar Installer Association), as one of the keynote speakers. In his session, Rumajar emphasized the importance of regulatory clarity, transparent processes, and public-private partnerships in driving solar deployment at the household and industrial levels. He also highlighted Perplatsi’s role in supporting the government’s green energy agenda through active stakeholder engagement and technical expertise.

This workshop provided a vital platform for international collaboration and best practice exchange in solar deployment strategies. With increasing interest in renewable energy across Southeast Asia, events like this are crucial in aligning regional efforts and mobilizing collective action to achieve sustainable energy goals.
